Location: Located in Mount Ilgaz National Park, 40 km south of Kastamonu, and 200 km north of Ankara, 450 km east of istanbul

Facilities: There are three skiing lifts, a 1050 meter double chair lift, 1100 meter teleski and 350 meter babylift, and skiing season usually open from december until late march. The average snow cover is between 90 and 230 cm. Addition to skiing, there are couple different trails and road to mountain bike, trekking, running.


ABOUT KASTAMONU

Kastamonu is situated within the Central Black Sea region of Turkey. Kastamonu city center, an ancient settlement location, and its districts contain numerous historical structures available for visiting purposes. Handcrafts are abundant in Kastamonu, especially in rural areas. Most available are hand-woven textiles. There's a 12th-century Byzantine castle, the 13th-century Atabey Mosque and the Ibni Neccar Mosque also located in the province. The Mahmut Bey Mosque, located in the village of Kasabais known for its elegant wood carvings. The ruins of the Roman city-state Pompeiopolis are found near Tasköprü.

Sites of interest: Kastamonu Castle, Kastamonu Museum, Atabey, Ibn Neccar, Mahmut Bey, Nasrullah, and Abdurrahman Pasha mosques, Nasrullah Bridge and Tasköprü, Soguksu, Açikmaslak, Acisu, Kanligöl, Dipsizgöl, Üçoluklar, Yaraligöz, Geritepe and Limanüstü forest recreation areas Inn (caravansary) at Gökçeagac.


Museums: City History Museum, Handicrafts Museum, Visual Arts Museum, Archeology Museum, Livapasa Konagi Ethnography Museum

Historic Houses: At the Akmescit, Hepkebirler, Atabey and Ismailbey quarters of the province, the samples of traditional and authentic Turkish houses and the samples of early period Ottoman civil architecture are still standing.
